2-Part Song Writing Workshop Ben Jarrad
Join established musician and songwriter Ben Jarrad for a two-part songwriting workshop designed to take you from spark to song. In Part One, you’ll explore creative process, lyric craft, melody, and structure—learning how to capture ideas and turn them into something real. Part Two dives deeper into refinement, arrangement, and sharing your work, with practical feedback and tools you can use long after the class ends.
Whether you’re brand new to songwriting or looking to sharpen your voice, this class offers inspiration, technique, and a supportive space to write bravely and honestly.

Sound Salon with Danny Kamins
Sofia Silueta and Danny Kamins present an evening of avant-garde that is a combination of electronic and acoustic sounds. Influences draw from a wide variety of musical styles, including but not limited to Western European classical music, American free jazz of the 1960's and 1970s, punk and noise, and drone/ambient.
The format is simple: seated, attentive, limited capacity.
We will gather for deep listening.
There’s no stage barrier and no rush—just a close setting where the nuances of the performance can be experienced fully.

Sound Salon w/Hassan Olu
Hasaan Olu
An experimental, avant-garde musical project based in Houston, Texas, founded by producer, DJ, and Killem Collective member Ichikara Valdez. The band creates a genre-defying sound blending elements of soul, psychedelia, and jazz, performing live shows aimed at pushing musical boundaries.
We’re launching our first Sound Salon at Creó—an intimate listening session centered fully on the music.
For this opening evening, Hasaan Olu will perform an experimental jazz fusion set in the courtyard.

Paper Making with John Paul Jackson
Houston visual artist Jonathan Jackson has spent the past five years mastering the art of handmade paper—creating sheets as delicate as standard paper and sculptural forms up to four inches thick. In this hands-on workshop, he will share his unique techniques so you can make your own paper using simple materials like a kitchen blender, recycled paper scraps, dryer lint, and water.
All materials are provided by the artist, and participants will receive take-home items so they can continue their papermaking practice at home. Come explore the creative possibilities of pulp, texture, and transformation through this sustainable and expressive art form.
